Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver to haul no-touch intermodal freight to Chicago-area rail yards. Expect about 1,500 miles per week with home daily on a Monday–Friday schedule starting at 11:00 PM.

This role includes paid training, a $10,000 bonus, hazmat endorsement within 90 days, plus pay for various load types and delays. Hazmat endorsement is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months verifiable CDL experience
• DOT Medical Card
• Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire
• Clean driving record
• Ability to operate in Chicago-area rail yards
• Willingness to work overnight shifts
• No SAP drivers

Responsibilities

• Hauls no-touch intermodal freight to Chicago-area rail yards.
• Approximately 1,500 miles per week.
• Home daily on a Monday–Friday schedule.
• Utilizes intermodal container and chassis equipment; slip-seat operations.
