Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A local intermodal driver for a Monday–Friday schedule with home daily. This role features 100% no-touch freight, daily trips to Chicago rail yards, and a $10,000 bonus. You’ll earn about $75,000 per year with diverse load pay and ramp training opportunities.

Hazmat endorsement is required within 90 days of hire, and 1,500 miles per week are typical. PTO and holiday pay terms vary; overtime incentives may apply based on policy.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A and DOT medical card are required.
• Hazmat endorsement must be obtaining within 90 days of hire.
• Clean driving record and ability to work overnights are required.
• Intermodal experience and no-SAP driving background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate 100% no-touch intermodal freight to Chicago-area rail yards.
• Travel approximately 1,500 miles per week with daily home time.
• Maintain hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire; total paid loads included.
• Participate in ramp training and possible shift transfer after 6 months.
