Job summary

CCI Industrial Services, LLC in Nikiski, Alaska, seeks a Heavy Duty Mechanic for a 1x1 rotation. You will live locally and return home each night, performing maintenance on compressors, pumps, generators, trucks and other facility equipment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and fabricating simple hydraulic or mechanical components. A CDL A license and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Valid Class A CDL driver’s license required.
• Vocational/technical training in mechanical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment and maintain safety compliance.
• Repair and maintains heavy duty construction equipment (loaders, cranes, generators, mobile equipment).
• Inspect equipment, read job orders, plan procedures and perform repairs.
• Dismantle, repair and reassemble components using tools; service electrical equipment.
• Complete minor and major repairs on heavy vehicles as needed.
• Inspect parts for wear, adjust braking and ignition systems, and replace transmissions.
• Fabricate attachments or hydraulic components per blueprints as required.
• Set up and operate drill press, grinders, and related tools when making parts.
• Report incidents and participate in training as required.
