Job summary

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of machines and tools; their design, use, repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and information.
  • Knowledge of motor vehicle engines, parts and systems; repair and maintenance.
  • High initiative, minimal supervision, and reliable work habits.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain heavy-duty and light-duty equipment for road, airport, and other state vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair complex equipment problems; perform routine and specialized maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair transmissions, drive trains, engines, emissions, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems.
