Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Front-End Driver to operate front-end collection trucks on local commercial and multi-family routes. You will collect solid waste or recyclables and transport loads to transfer or disposal sites.

Qualified candidates have a CDL and at least 1 year of driving experience (or a CDL school certificate). The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and physical capability to handle equipment daily.

Qualifications

• License: Valid CDL required.
• Experience: 1 year of commercial truck driving or CDL school certificate.
• Safety: ability to follow lockout/tagout and safety-sensitive rules.
• Physical: ability to sit long hours and lift up to 50–100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive front-end commercial trucks on local routes to collect waste and recyclables.
• Open gates and position/roll 3–4 yard containers for dumping.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; maintain logs per DOT.
• Interact courteously with customers; keep sites clean and free of debris.
• Navigate trucks in tight spaces using mirrors and GPS guidance.
