Job summary

BlueLinx is seeking professional drivers for local home-daily routes in New Jersey. As a Class A CDL driver, you’ll transport freight safely, secure loads with straps (no tarping), and interact with customers to ensure on-time deliveries.

You will maintain DOT compliance, complete trip paperwork, and log hours using an electronic logbook. We offer a starting pay of $32.10 per hour, with medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, life insurance, 401K, PTO, holiday pay, and tuition

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 21 years old.
• 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required
