Job summary

BlueLinx is seeking professional drivers to join our flatbed distribution team. Enjoy home time every night and weekend with first-shift hours and modern equipment, including flatbed and curtain side trailers with no tarping.

Starting pay is $29.55 per hour, with comprehensive benefits. You will securely load/unload, ensure accurate deliveries, manage proofs of delivery, and maintain logs and safety inspections as part of our safety‑driven culture.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required.
