Job summary

Daikin Comfort is seeking a Local Driver to safely operate company trucks for timely product delivery. You will load/unload, assist warehouse tasks, and provide excellent customer service across branch locations.

Responsibilities include driving, DOT compliance, and forklift operation, with opportunities to support front counter and warehouse duties as needed. A valid CDL, clean driving record, and 21+ years old are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Has a valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• Has 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the past 3 years.
• DOT road test, pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, and background check required.
• DMV record cannot reflect more than 2 moving violations or preventable accidents in 3 years.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and deliver product to customer sites within designated time frames safely using the most efficient routes possible.
• Maintain required logs and reports to comply with DOT and company policies for safety and operation of delivery vehicles and forklifts.
• Safely load and properly block, brace, and secure cargo.
• Operate forklift safely to transfer, load and unload product; ensure correct quantity is loaded.
• Perform pre-check and post-check operations of company vehicles and forklifts.
• Perform warehouse duties and assist in loading/transfer for customers as needed.
• Follow housekeeping and safety practices; heavy lifting required.
• Act as warehouse/front counter backup as needed.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
