Job summary

Airgas is looking for a Local Delivery Driver (CDL B) in Tigard, OR, offering a pay range of $27.50-$34/hour. You will need a valid CDL with HAZMAT and Airbrake endorsements and be responsible for delivering goods safely to customers while adhering to traffic regulations.

Local Delivery Driver (CDL B) – Tigard, OR

Job Description

Location: Tigard, OR - Retail shop

Pay: $27.50-$34/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday (7 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe driving record and appropriate licensing, strictly adhere to Company safety policies, use of PPE, and identify workplace hazards. Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and comply with all federal, state, local, and DOT regulations.
• Load and unload service trucks, perform timely scheduled and non‑route deliveries to meet customer satisfaction, ensure all load documents are accurate and available.
• Maintain accurate company and DOT records, identify potential cylinder problems, pull orders from the warehouse, and collect and submit all customer payments.
• Provide support to internal and external customers regarding inventory and delivery needs; be available for occasional mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays for on‑call duty.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL or CDL B with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements.
• Hazmat endorsement required; candidates without current HAZMAT will not be considered.
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or no more than two at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years (or a combination of one conviction and one accident).
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances within the last 7 years.
• Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment.
• Be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with aid of material handling equipment.
• Must have at least 1 year of recent CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or provide proof of a trucking school completion within the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience.
• 1 year of CDL experience.
