Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring a Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B) in Renton, WA. The role focuses on safe driving, regulatory compliance, and efficient delivery operations with a schedule Monday–Friday, 5:30 a.m.–2 p.m. Home every night and benefits offered.

Required Hazmat endorsement and CDL; 1 year CDL experience or trucking school completion. OT may be available; benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, 401(k), tuition assistance, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL or CDL B with Hazmat & Airbrake endorsements.
• Hazmat IS REQUIRED. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THEY CURRENTLY HAVE THEIR HAZMAT.
• Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions in the last 3 years (or two at-fault accidents) or a combination.
• No DUI within the last seven (7) years.
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move >125lbs with equipment.
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or trucking school certificate.

Responsibilities

• Safety and Vehicle Compliance: pre-trip and post-trip inspections and compliance with all DOT regulations.
• Delivery and Logistics: loading/unloading, timely deliveries, accurate load documents.
• Administrative Tasks: maintain DOT records, pull orders, collect payments.
• General Duties: assist customers with inventory/delivery needs and occasional overtime.

This role centers on ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient delivery operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Safety and Vehicle Compliance: Maintaining a safe driving record and appropriate licensing, strict adherence to company safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and actively identifying workplace hazards. This also involves performing required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Delivery and Logistics: Loading and unloading service trucks, performing timely scheduled and non-route deliveries to meet customer satisfaction, and ensuring all necessary load documents are accurate and available.
• Administrative Tasks: Promptly and accurately maintaining all required company and DOT records, identifying potential cylinder problems, pulling orders from the warehouse, and collecting and submitting all customer payments.
• General Duties: Providing support to internal and external customers regarding inventory and delivery needs, and being available for occasional mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays for on-call duty.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL or CDL B with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements
• Hazmat IS REQUIRED. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THEY CURRENTLY HAVE THEIR HAZMAT
• Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift experience
• 1 year of CDL experience
