Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is seeking a Local CDL Delivery Driver in Salt Lake City, UT. The role involves delivering compressed gas products, handling orders, resolving customer inquiries, and maintaining the vehicle on a daily route schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle loading/unloading, obtain signatures, and record transactions with accuracy.
• Keep vehicle clean and professionally presented.

Pay begins at $28/hour with eligibility for quarterly bonuses. Referral bonus available.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on established delivery routes, handling orders, resolving complaints, and building relationships.
• Safely load, transport, and unload compressed gas cylinders and related products in a company‑provided straight or box truck, adhering to DOT and company regulations.
• Maintain vehicle: perform routine checks, keep truck clean, and ensure readiness for daily routes.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance.
• Handle loading/unloading, obtain signatures, and record transactions.
• Provide professional appearance and upkeep of vehicle condition.
• Perform physical tasks involving lifting 25‑75 lbs regularly and up to 125 lbs with equipment; bending, walking, standing, and driving for up to 8 hours daily.

Required Qualifications

• At least one full year of verifiable Class A or B CDL driving experience under DOT requirements within the past 5 years, or recent graduate from an accredited driving school.
• Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or ability to obtain Hazmat upon offer.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Excellent customer service skills and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and read/comprehend material safety data sheets.
• Physical capability and stamina to handle hazardous cargo—lifting, bending, standing, and driving for 8 hours.
