Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. is seeking a CDL driver in Jacksonville to deliver freight with a focus on safety and customer service. You will secure loads, manage deliveries, and maintain DOT logs while representing the company with professionalism.

The role offers first-shift hours, reliable equipment, life insurance, 401K, and paid time off. You will work with flatbed and curtain side trailers and interact with customers on daily routes.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 21 years old.
• 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads (strapping, no tarping).
• Deliver freight accurately and handle customer returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver:

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate based on the position requirements and market data. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations.
