Job summary

Ben E. Keith is hiring a Local Class A CDL Shuttle Driver Trainee in Texas. You’ll be home daily, transporting loaded trailers to shuttle locations and returning empties to the branch. You’ll operate safe, compliant with DOT rules and maintain schedules while supporting a growth-oriented logistics team.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional development within a long-established distributor. Prior driving experience is valued and a strong driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Must have Double/Triple endorsements.
• Must have Valid Class A CDL with 1-year experience.
• DOT qualified and able to meet all DOT requirements.
• Good driving record with no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background checks.
• At least one year of commercial driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded trailers from the branch to designated shuttle locations.
• Return empty trailers to the branch for reloading.
• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles while following all DOT and company regulations.
• Maintain scheduled delivery and pickup times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate any issues, delays, or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Represent Ben E. Keith professionally with customers, vendors, and fellow team members.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
