Ben E. Keith Company in Abilene, TX is hiring a Shuttle Driver with a Class A CDL to support our local distribution network.

This role offers home daily routes, stable full-time employment, and the chance to gain trailer handling and transport experience. You will operate tractor-trailers, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintain safety and DOT compliance while delivering on-time pickups and deliveries for our customers.

Qualifications

• Must have Double/Triple endorsements with 1-year experience required.
• Must have valid Class A CDL with 1-year experience required.
• DOT qualified and able to meet all DOT requirements.
• Good driving record with no more than one moving violation within the past three years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background checks.
• At least one year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Ability to safely operate tractors with 28', 36', and 48' trailers.

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded trailers from the branch to designated shuttle locations.
• Return empty trailers to the branch for reloading.
• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles while following all DOT and company regulations.
• Maintain scheduled delivery and pickup times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate any issues, delays, or safety concerns to management immediately.
