Job summary

Ben E. Keith is hiring a Local Class A CDL Shuttle Driver (Home Daily) to support stable, full‑time operations. You will transport loaded trailers, return empties, and maintain on‑time deliveries while adhering to DOT rules and company safety standards.

The role emphasizes predictable routes, safety, and steady professional growth within a respected distributor of food and beverages. Prior shuttle driving experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Must have Double/Triple endorsements with 1-year experience required.
• Must have valid Class A CDL with 1-year experience required.
• DOT qualified and able to meet all DOT requirements.
• Good driving record with no more than one moving violation within the past three years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background requirements.
• At least one year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Ability to safely operate tractors with 28', 36', and 48' trailers.

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded trailers from the branch to designated shuttle locations.
• Return empty trailers to the branch for reloading.
• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles while following all DOT and company regulations.
• Maintain scheduled delivery and pickup times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate any issues, delays, or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Represent Ben E. Keith professionally with customers, vendors, and fellow team members.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
