Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dedicated CDL driver to operate Class B/ A vehicles and perform safety inspections. You will transport freight in compliance with FMCSA rules, maintain records, and support dock loading/unloading as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class B or Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment
• FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
• Ability to operate a forklift (minimum 7,500 lb. vehicle)
• Must pass a FMCSA required medical exam
• Must pass a road test
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment to perform safety functions, including manual transmission and tire chaining
• Safely operate a Class B CDL Straight Truck to transport freight in compliance with FMCSA and state regulations
• Maintain required records and comply with local, state, and federal regulations
• Provide professional service to customers and the public; assist with dock loading/unloading as needed
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer; report maintenance issues
• Comply with company policies and adapt to varying schedules and work environments
• Adhere to security of equipment and cargo; use in-cab technology if required
• Report discrepancies and support Fleet Services as needed
