BlueLinx Corporation seeks a Local CDL-A Driver to operate newer, well-maintained equipment on local routes, delivering building materials safely and on time. You will be home daily with a first-shift schedule and no weekend hours, supported by a safety-focused team and comprehensive benefits.

You will securely load and unload using straps, complete DOT inspections, and maintain accurate delivery documentation while providing excellent customer service at each stop.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 12 months of recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience within past 3 years.
• Minimum age 21.
• Safe driving record required.
• Ability to properly secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely secure loads using straps only; no tarping required.
• Deliver freight accurately and on time while supporting customer service expectations.
• Handle customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork and customer documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers and report issues promptly.
• Maintain daily safety checklists and complete required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbooks and complete trip reports.
• Direct customer unloading when required.

Drivers earn $29.50 per hour with daily overtime after 8 hours worked.
