Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to support food and service delivery operations. You will transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards, operating between intrastate and interstate routes.

Expect a Sunday–Thursday shift with DOT-compliant safety practices and strong customer interaction. You will drive a tandem tractor-trailer or straight truck, ensuring timely arrivals and safe handling of freight.

Qualifications

• 12 months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and required repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; secure freight.
• Maintain route paperwork for tractor/trailer loads.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely and efficiently.
• Park and store tractors/trailers, ensure equipment is secured.
• Handle damaged goods and returns in trailer and complete paperwork.
• Uncover and remove trash; keep trailers clean.
• Record hours of service daily per regulations.
