Job summary

ABF Freight is seeking a skilled driver/dock associate for pickup and delivery operations around the distribution center area. Duties include loading/unloading, trailing equipment setup, and precise paperwork, with schedule variations by location.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of tractor/trailer experience (training possible), and a Class-A CDL with multiple endorsements; you must be at least 21 with a clean MVR and pass DOT screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience; training possible for less.
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsements; no automatic restriction.
• Minimum 21 years of age; clean driving record; pass DOT pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork effectively, and properly log loading sheets.
• Exercise independent judgment regarding trailer setup and teardown to optimize time and resources.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform tasks including check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup, and the pickup and delivery of cargo.
