Job summary

ABF Freight is seeking a Dock/Truck Associate to handle loading, unloading, and delivery of cargo within a distribution network. Responsibilities include handling paperwork, trailer setup, and timely pickups and deliveries across multiple terminals.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, 1 year tractor/trailer experience, and a Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazmat endorsements. Wage is hourly with weekly pay and union-scale benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year tractor/trailer experience.
• CDL Class-A with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets accurately.
• Exercise independent judgment in building and tearing down trailers to optimize time and resources while complying with weight laws.
• Operate a forklift as needed to move cargo.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently and safely.
• Perform tasks including check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, setup, and pickup/delivery of cargo.
• Other duties as assigned.
