Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is hiring for a yard/dock position requiring a Class-A CDL with hazmat endorsements and 1 year of tractor/trailer experience. Duties include loading, unloading, paperwork, and safety compliance at a service center.

Employees receive union-based wages, health benefits, sick leave, and a 401(k); overtime is paid after 8 hours. Shift hours vary and DOT screening is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience preferred; training possible for candidates with less.
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets.
• Operate a forklift as needed and load/unload cargo.
• Perform checks including tractor/trailer inspections and setup; handle pickup and delivery of cargo.
