Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking a CDL driver to pick up and deliver cargo with occasional forklift operation. Duties include paperwork, trailer setup, and loading/unloading. Schedules vary by location.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, 1 year tractor/trailer experience (training possible), and a Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements. Must be 21+, have a clean MVR, and pass a DOT drug screen. Travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year verifiable tractor/trailer experience; training possible for less.
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsements; no automatic restriction.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets.
• Organize trailer setup and teardown to optimize time, energy and resources; follow weight distribution laws.
• Operate a forklift as needed and load/unload cargo.
• Perform tasks such as check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, and pickup/delivery of cargo.
