Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a qualified CDL-A driver to operate tractor-trailers, adhere to FMCSA regulations, and maintain cargo safety across diverse routes.

The role requires HazMat/Tanker endorsements, a valid license, and the ability to pass medical and road tests. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, handle loading/unloading, and provide courteous service to customers while complying with all safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 21 years of age or older per FMCSA regulations; 1 year driving experience.
• Must possess valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be registered with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the Service Center/work assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required (LCV may apply).
• Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift (7500 lb).
• Must lift approx. 70 lbs. and operate forklifts as needed.
• Pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Speak and read English per FMCSA requirements.
• Drive on various terrains and environments.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Work independently or in a team; handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment safely and in compliance with FMCSA rules and company policy.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs to Fleet Services.
• Ensure security of equipment and cargo; verify unit numbers and paperwork.
• Maintain required records and complete logs, including electronic logs if applicable.
• Conduct cargo loading/unloading at docks per business needs; provide customer service.
