Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a professional driver to operate a tractor/trailer, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure safe transport of freight in accordance with FMCSA and company policies.

Requirements include a Class A CDL with Hazmat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, and the ability to lift 70 lbs while supporting loading/unloading duties when required. Earnest safety and on-time performance are essential.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 21 years of age with FMCSA rules compliance.
• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration required.
• Residence within 75 miles of the Service Center/work assignment.
• Able to drive tractor-trailer under FMCSA rules and medical standards.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must meet English reading/speaking FMCSA requirements.
• Must lift ~70 lbs and operate a forklift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment safely including manuals and automatic transmissions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety compliance.
• Deliver freight and assist with loading/unloading at customer sites.
• Maintain records in line with local, state and federal regulations.
• Adhere to FMCSA, DOT, and company policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance issues to Fleet Services promptly.
• Possibly drive various schedules and work the dock as needed.
• Demonstrate professional and courteous service to customers.
