Recess Hotels in Savannah, GA, is seeking skilled bartenders for the Lobby Bar and Club to craft elevated cocktails and deliver thoughtful service to hotel guests, club members, and locals alike.

You will build a thorough knowledge of the beverage program, guide guests through selections, and maintain a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere while collaborating with culinary and service teams to ensure seamless service throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required; upscale hotel, cocktail bar, or luxury hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage service standards.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move bar supplies as needed.
• Professional presentation and grooming standards.
• Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, coffee beverages, and non-alcoholic offerings according to established recipes and service standards.
• Deliver attentive, personalized service to guests seated at the bar and throughout the lounge area as needed.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of the Lobby Bar's beverage program, food offerings, seasonal features, and hotel amenities.
• Guide guests through beverage selections and make recommendations based on individual preferences.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
• Accurately enter orders and process transactions using the point-of-sale system.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service practices.
• Prepare garnishes, syrups, mixers, and other bar ingredients according to established standards.
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with food runners, servers, culinary team members, and leadership to ensure seamless service.
• Manage inventory levels and communicate product needs to leadership.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
• Build relationships with regular guests, club members, and hotel guests while contributing to an inviting and engaging atmosphere.
• Serve as an ambassador of the hotel by providing knowledgeable recommendations about property amenities, events, and local experiences.
