Job summary

OneMain Financial is hiring for an on-site customer service/loan associate in New Jersey. You will guide customers through the loan process, handle inquiries, and support collections activities while ensuring compliance.

The role offers a base salary in the $19–$23/hr range with incentives and a strong benefits package. The position is Monday through Friday with some extended hours, including Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: sales/collections/customer service experience.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Multitask and adapt to dynamic role demands to deliver timely service.
• Exceed customer expectations through ease, empathy and encouragement to meet branch goals.
• Develop and maintain connections with customers by engaging through the loan process and lifecycle.
• Manage the loan life cycle, including collections while maintaining compliance with laws and regulations.
• Interact with customers and other departments via phone, email, chat and our in-house systems.
• Demonstrate a proactive, goal-oriented attitude and drive to achieve results.
• Educate customers on optional insurance products and explain loan terms and options.
