Job summary

Sturdy Savings Bank is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist II to provide servicing support for residential, consumer, and commercial loans. You will book loans, process payments, maintain accounts, and prepare bills in a structured workflow under supervision.

Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, maintaining files, and ensuring data integrity and compliance. SBA experience is a plus; a strong grasp of loan software and reporting will help succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of similar experience.
• Good organizational, communications and public relations skills, particularly in working with documentation that requires special or confidential handling.
• The interpersonal skills to communicate effectively via telephone with employees and consumers.
• Ability to perform various mathematical computations.
• Strong understanding and comfort level in working with computers. Knowledge of the following programs: Word, Excel, Access, Calyx, OCC’s APR program, FNMA DU, OSI/BISYS loan functions, and CBA and Universal credit ordering programs or the ability to learn the programs fairly quickly and easily.

Responsibilities

• Provides servicing assistance to customers on residential, consumer, and commercial loans.
• Book new loans to the main system, process payments, maintain existing loans, handle payoff requests, and prepare loan bills.
• Determine additional information or documentation needed to maintain servicing of loan files.
• Respond to questions about all aspects of residential, consumer, and commercial loans.
• Prepare servicing correspondence to consumers and maintain loan files.
• Ensure files are orderly and complete, manage retention and security of loan documents.
• May participate in improvement of servicing procedures.
• SBA experience is a plus.
