Job summary

Sun Loan Company in Mattoon, IL is seeking a Loan Specialist to support the Branch Manager in maintaining a profitable, compliant, and efficiently operated branch. You will process loan applications, verify documents, service customer accounts, and support collections to deliver excellent service.

You will establish payment arrangements, assist with loan modifications, extensions, and growth opportunities while ensuring adherence to policy and regulatory requirements at the branch level.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of sales experience preferred.
• Experience working in a metrics-driven environment with established performance goals and KPI’s is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process loan applications and verify documentation.
• Service customer accounts and support collection efforts.
• Establish payment arrangements with customers and assist with loan modifications/extensions.
• Identify lending solutions meeting customer needs and maintain compliance with policies and regulations.
• Close loans by explaining terms, conditions, and requirements.
• Post customer payments and maintain accurate account records.
• Maintain loan files and documentation in accordance with company policies.
