Job summary

S&T Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Records Clerk to support the Loan Records department at our Indiana, PA location. The role involves document verification for commercial and consumer loans, imaging, indexing, and researching loan files.

You will collaborate with various teams to ensure accurate record-keeping and timely responses to inquiries. The position requires a high school diploma and up to one year of relevant experience, with 8:00AM–5:00PM hours and additional time as necessary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently.
• Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and organization.
• Performs document verification of new and modified commercial loans.
• Identifies missing documents, signatures, dates, and collateral to be tracked for renewal.
• Sets up tracking of document exceptions and collateral in tickler systems.
• Prepares loan documents for scanning and QC of images; retains originals.
• Imports, files, retrieves, and researches loan documentation.
• Resolves questions for internal and external customers.
• Assumes additional duties as required.
• For consumer loans: tracks document and collateral exceptions and prepares required reports.
• Performs document imaging of loan documents and related files; quality control of images.
• Indexes documents to designated loans; reviews new account source and name change reports.
• Requests FNMA paid loan notes from BNY Mellon.
• For collateral insurance: sorts insurance mail, indexes documents, and QC images.
• Formats Excel spreadsheets for collateral insurance tracking.
• Updates tickler systems for renewal policies; follows up on cancellations with agents and lenders.
• Produces hazard force-placed checklists and flood calculation worksheets for insurance gaps.
• Produces and mails paid loan letters to borrowers.
• Researches and resolves questions for internal and external customers.
