Job summary

First Hawaiian Bank is seeking a Loan Processor for the Consumer Credit Service Center in Honolulu. The role covers document preparation, review of branch submissions, and processing new loan/disbursement requests into IBS, with quality checks and GL balancing at boarding.

Ideal candidates have attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines, with strong communication and teamwork. On-site schedule, 8-5, five days a week.

Qualifications

• - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
• - 1 year of experience in general clerical office work or related field required.
• - Bachelor’s Degree in business-related field, or Banking experience in the consumer loan area with good working knowledge of the various consumer loan products highly desirable preferred
• - Some working knowledge of banking or consumer finance
• - Frequent contact with Bank personnel at all levels
• - Good knowledge of the Bank’s CIP, BSA and AML policies and procedures
• - Strong attention to detail
• - Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines/tasks
• - Highly organized and able to multi-task
• - Good analytical and proofreading skills
• - Excellent time management skills
• - Good interpersonal skills
• - Good written and verbal communication skills
• - Good team building skills
• - Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite of applications; ability to learn various software programs

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents for loan processing
• Review executed documents submitted by branches
• Board new requests through LoansPQ into IBS
• Handle disbursements for new consumer loans and lines of credit
• Perform quality control for data accuracy on boarded loans
• Balance General Ledger after new loans are boarded
