LOAN ADMINISTRATION Full Time Corporate Center, Honesdale, PA, US

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Loan Processing Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the bank's loan operations by accurately processing approved loans and renewals, maintaining loan files, and performing essential clerical tasks. This position ensures the integrity and accuracy of loan documentation and contributes to the overall efficiency of the loan department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES:

• Process approved loans and renewals, establish and maintain loan files
• Generate loan documents, disclosures, and customer communications for both direct and indirect consumer loans
• Handle internal and external customer inquiries, research and resolve issues
• Process loan payments from various channels including portal, mail, and returned items
• Verify user maintenance and review new loan setups for accuracy
• Complete paid loan reports and ensure timely return of satisfied mortgages
• Clear collateral tracking exceptions (e.g., vehicle titles, UCCs, mortgages, title insurance)
• Reconcile loan-related general ledger and bank accounts
• Process and balance TCM credit card payments
• Monitor force-placed flood/hazard insurance and track additional insurance requirements
• Coordinate mailing of loan statements and documents
• Perform various loan maintenance tasks and process floor plan transactions
• Recommend process improvements to supervisor
• Participate in community affairs to enhance bank visibility and business opportunities
• Assume additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma required; relevant certifications (e.g., financial services, customer service) are a plus

REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Previous banking and front-line experience are a plus but are not required,
• Proven ability to manage relationships and resolve issues effectively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with financial products and basic advisory principles

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

In addition to conducting business in an office environment, the Loan Processing Clerk must be able to reach, bend, stand, stoop, walk, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
