Job summary

The Washington Trust Company is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Origination Specialist to support our Mortgage Originators through the residential loan process. You will handle administrative tasks, documentation, and customer care from application to closing.

Responsibilities include managing loan files, assisting borrowers, collecting documents, and coordinating with internal partners to move applications efficiently. A strong attention to detail and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative support experience in a mortgage lending environment.
• Experience supporting Mortgage Originators preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and loan origination systems, including Encompass, preferred.

Compensation:

A good‑faith, reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $50,000 to $60,000+, and the actual offer will depend on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. This base salary reflects one component of our competitive compensation package. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
