Job summary

COREPLUS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION is seeking a Loan Operations Specialist to monitor vehicle lien filings, ensure the credit union is listed as lien holder, and receive titles promptly. The role requires a strong knowledge of loan products and the documents needed to complete loan packages.

The candidate will handle title data accuracy, communicate with members and auto dealers, and support ongoing process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years related experience in financial institutions, loan servicing or operations.
• Ability to analyze income forms such as paystubs and tax returns.
• Ability to interpret a variety of written or schedule-based instructions.

Responsibilities

• Process loan transactions including payments, payoffs, disbursements, and general ledger entries.
• Perform quality control reviews of all loan types for accuracy.
• Ensure title data is accurate and up to date.
• Communicate with members, auto dealers, and agencies to resolve title issues.
• Generate paid loan reports and send title or lien release notices.
• Process dealer payoff transactions and send title releases to appropriate parties.
• Record and track UCC filings to perfect lien positions.
• Assist in process improvements for title processing functions.
• Process documentation for insurance guarantees and payoff checks.
• Handle removal, refunds and claims for GAP insurance.
• Review debt protection claims and refunds.
• Investigate discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
