Job summary

Carta is seeking a Loan Operations Associate in the United States to join our Loan Operations team. You’ll support end-to-end loan onboarding, closings, and operational setup for private credit and direct lending transactions on Carta's platform.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in loan operations or related fields, deep knowledge of loan lifecycles, and a tech-forward mindset to automate tasks with AI tools while delivering accurate reconciliations and timely reports for borrowers and lenders.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in loan operations, private credit operations, fund administration, or commercial lending.
Knowledge of the loan lifecycle: syndicated loans, direct lending, revolvers, and lifecycle events.
Technologically forward; leverage AI-powered productivity tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
Strong communicator; respond clearly and professionally to inquiries from borrowers and lenders.
Analytical and organizational skills; perform loan-related calculations with confidence.

Responsibilities

Support end-to-end loan onboarding, closings, and operational setup for private credit and direct lending transactions.
Process loan lifecycle events—fundings, repayments, prepayments, rollovers, and amendments.
Perform cash, position, and transaction reconciliations across borrower, lender, and settlement records.
Generate recurring and ad hoc operational reports and respond to inquiries from stakeholders.
Partner with Product and Engineering to identify inefficiencies and improve platform scalability.
