Job summary

Carta is hiring a Loan Operations Manager to oversee the private credit loan servicing lifecycle, including interest, fees, and reconciling settlements. The role supports fund accounting and investment teams with accurate servicing data and documentation.

You will work within Carta's Credit Operations team to scale loan servicing workflows, ensure operational integrity, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in private credit loan operations or related fields.
• Expertise in credit agreement mechanics and lifecycle events.
• Proficiency with LSTA/LMA conventions and benchmark rate calculations (SOFR).
• Strong numerical accuracy and ability to analyze complex positions and cash reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the loan servicing lifecycle for complex private credit instruments (bilateral, club, syndicated).
• Ensure accurate calculation of interest, fees, OID, amortization, and unused/commitment fees per conventions.
• Execute and reconcile cash transactions and maintain stakeholder communication to resolve settlement breaks.
• Support month-end close with position tracking and audit documentation.
• Provide servicing data to frontline investment professionals and respond to inquiries.
