Job summary

You will handle HMDA LAR and escrow matters, update insurance and collateral records, and support FHLB activities. The position offers growth toward Loan Operations Specialist I within 18 months.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of departmental operations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with customers and associates.
• Ability to recognize irregular or suspicious transactions and take appropriate steps to prevent loss.
• Understanding of operations in other departments and bank retail outlets.
• Understanding of Federal Regulations as they apply to loans.
• Experience with using word processors and spreadsheets; Outlook experience.
• Exposure to bank core accounting systems, Jack Henry Silverlake preferred.
• Ability to operate common business equipment.
• Above average problem solving and accounting skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to telephone inquiries from customers and associates pertaining to loan balances, payoffs, collateral information, etc.
• Loan account maintenance and transactions
• Perform daily balancing of the general ledger accounts
• Review loan files for proper documentation and compliance
• Prepare, review, and maintenance missing or incorrect documentation on the Loan Error Log
• Prepare, scan and perform quality control on loan files
• Add and remove ACH and AFT records
• Process returned payments
• Collection maintenance
• Process credit disputes
• Process charge offs
• Process loan extensionsMaintenance and process vehicle titles
• Process closed loans
• Process low balance report
• Process and maintain proof of collateral insurance
• Prepare escrow accounts for payment
• Prepare and maintain escrow analysis
• Monitor and process PMI payments and cancellations
• FHLB monthly balancing
• FHLB remittance
• Process participation payments
• Update and maintain dealer floor plan
• Update and maintain adjustable rate analysis on loans
• Process monthly credit insurance commission
• Process credit life/disability claims
• Process construction draws
• Maintain tickler report
• Must advance to Loan Operations Specialist I within 18 months of hire
• Promote and preserve JBT’s values and culture
• Follow Bank policy and procedure to prevent fraud and financial crimes
• Other duties as assigned
