Job summary

Union-State-Bank is seeking a Loan Assistant to support the loan department with processing, documentation, and customer service across loan portfolios.

You will handle loan requests, monitor payments, assist with funds transfers, and maintain accurate records in the core banking system while adhering to bank policies and compliance requirements. This role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and teamwork with loan officers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of experience at a financial institution.
• Experience in loan operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process loan requests and collect required documents.
• Monitor loan payments for loan portfolios.
• Provide customer service to the customers of the loans officer’s portfolio.
• Assist with transfer of funds, wiring payments, and making payments to third parties.
• Completes loan maintenance on core system.
• File necessary paperwork to perfect banks liens.
• Follow all bank policies and procedures.
