Job summary

West Capital Lending is seeking a proactive Loan Officer to guide clients through the financing process, assess financial documents, and recommend suitable loan products. You will work with an in-house manager and processing team to ensure compliant, timely approvals and excellent client service.

In this role, you will build relationships, meet sales goals, and stay updated on lending guidelines and market conditions while leveraging leads and strong internal support.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Loan Officer or similar role in financial services.
• Current NMLS loan officer license is required.
• Strong understanding of loan products, underwriting, and industry compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to assess financial data and determine creditworthiness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan processing software.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess loan applications by reviewing credit reports, financial documents, and client goals
• Recommend appropriate loan products based on client eligibility and financial situation
• Guide clients through the entire loan process, ensuring a smooth and informed experience
• Verify documentation and ensure compliance with all regulations
• Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and support teams to drive timely approvals
• Maintain detailed knowledge of lending guidelines, market conditions, and regulations
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and referral business
• Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Loan Officer or similar role in financial services
• Current Loan Officer license (NMLS)
• Strong understanding of loan products, underwriting, and industry compliance
