Job summary

Northern Bank is seeking a Commercial Lending Administrator to support the loan closing lifecycle, from documentation through funding and closing. The role requires analyzing credit documentation, coordinating with multiple teams, and ensuring compliance with approvals.

The candidate should have a finance-related degree or 2–5 years in commercial lending operations, with strong detail orientation and MS Office proficiency. Prior experience with real estate or construction loans is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2–5 years' experience in Commercial Lending Operations preferred.
• Thorough understanding of commercial documentation, credit memos and closing process.
• Experience with commercial real estate, construction loans, or complex lending transactions preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and document review skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize workflow in a multi-tasking environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with a team.
• nCino/Salesforce experience is desirable.
• Proficient with loan processing systems; advanced MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review loan documentation, including promissory notes, loan agreements, security agreements, and other closing documents
• Verify loan approval terms and conditions for accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with loan officers, credit and legal to resolve pre-closing issues
• Review and approve insurance certificates prior to closing
• Coordinate loan funding and disbursement with settlement statements and invoices
• Prepare Modification Documents on existing loans
• Maintain closing checklists to track documents and approvals
• Monitor pipeline reports to ensure deadlines are met
• Perform ad hoc duties as requested
