Job summary

Dieterich Bank in Trenton, IL is seeking a Loan Assistant to keep the loan process running smoothly and accurately.

You will review loan files, pull credit reports, verify collateral insurance, schedule closings, fund loans, and send paperwork to title companies, while staying in touch with customers and teammates.

The position is full-time with standard hours, occasional evenings or Saturdays, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in banking or loan administration.
• Must demonstrate integrity, value, service excellence, and teamwork.
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work with supervisor.

A day in the life of a Loan Assistant:

Your day will be all about keeping the loan process running smoothly. You'll review loan files to make sure all the documents are in order, pull credit reports, check on insurance for collateral, and help schedule loan closings. You'll also spend time chatting with customers-answering their questions, following up on payments, or just keeping them in the loop. On the back end, you'll fund loans, send paperwork to title companies, and scan important documents to keep everything organized.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Associate's degree in office administration preferred
3. 3+ years of banking or loan administration experience

Work Schedule:

This position is full time and requires 40 hours each week with work generally being completed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Occasional evenings and working a Saturday rotation may be necessary. Minimal traveling will occur for occasional seminars.
