Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator to support our Texas operations. The role involves operating heavy equipment safely, adhering to OSHA/MSHA safety standards, and maintaining accurate time/material records across project sites.

You will perform daily inspections, assist in training less-experienced staff, and support general labor tasks as needed. Occasional travel and night/weekend work may be required in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operating heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools in construction.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions on construction sites.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Report problems to Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or HR Manager.
• Follow Foreman daily tasks and expectations for each project/site.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; refer major problems to supervisor.
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on operation, servicing and repair of equipment.
• Perform general laboring duties when necessary.
