Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a Loader Operator to operate heavy equipment for groundwork and construction in Texas. You’ll follow safety procedures, perform pre/post inspections, and assist with maintenance while training less-experienced staff.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 1–3 years of related experience, and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and occasional travel or night/weekend shifts as needed; competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends.
• OSHA/MSHA safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
• Follow direction of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on the proper operations, servicing, and repair of equipment to further their abilities.
• Perform general laboring duties when necessary.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
