Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Greensboro, NC is seeking an experienced forklift operator to move products and stock the production line while adhering to all safety policies. The role involves labeling, packaging, and preparing finished goods for shipment, with daily paperwork to complete.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read technical documents, and the capacity to lift up to 70 lbs. Forklift certification is preferred and manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret loading slips, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Ability to carry out written and oral instructions.
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding of units of measure.
• Able to work any shift.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to move product into inventory/onto and off truck.
• Operate loaders to keep production line stocked with raw materials.
• Ensure proper rotation and placement of finished goods.
• Properly label product and package product for inventory.
• Ensure packaged quantities are correct and quality is up to standards.
• Load trucks with finished product for delivery.
• Before loading product for shipment ensure packaging and pallet are safe and adequate for shipment.
• Complete daily paperwork including inspection reports for equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
