Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate heavy and light equipment across groundwork and construction projects in Texas. You will follow safety policies, perform inspections, and assist with maintenance while meeting project deadlines.

The role requires the ability to read blueprints, follow verbal and written instructions, and work in a team environment. A valid DOT Medical Card and a valid CDL are preferred, with willingness to travel and work nights or

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
• Must possess valid DOT Medical Card.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist others as required.
• CDL, Class A and/or B Driver with possible hazmat & tanker endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Report problems to Foreman/Supervisor/Managers.
• Follow Foreman instructions for daily tasks per project.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; refer major problems to supervisor.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-inspections with documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Maintain regular attendance; adhere to schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.
