Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support the Central Texas Area. The role collaborates with laborers and the Project team to operate blade and other heavy machinery, perform safety checks, and ensure smooth daily operations on construction sites.

Applicants should be able to follow manuals, communicate effectively with supervisors, and work nights and weekends when required. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Be able to communicate appropriately with direct reports, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Be knowledgeable of materials and equipment needed to perform tasks.
• Related experience in the construction field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including blade, shuttle buggy, loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, backhoes.
• Follow equipment manuals and Daily Equipment Checklist.
• Coordinate with Project Manager/Foreperson on daily job specifications and production.
• Perform daily pre-start procedures and safety checks.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and safe operating order.
