Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a Loader Operator to drive a front-end loader and other heavy equipment on highway, utility, site development, and street projects in Texas. This role emphasizes loading, stockpiling, and moving materials safely to support project schedules.

You will perform inspections, monitor equipment, load trucks, and assist with site prep while maintaining safety and teamwork as top priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a front-end loader in a construction environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of heavy civil, utility, roadway, or site development construction.
• Ability to conduct equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader to move, load, stockpile, and transport materials.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and safety checks.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues promptly.
• Load trucks safely and maintain proper material quantities.
• Maintain stockpiles and work areas in a safe condition.
• Assist with excavation, grading, and site preparation.
• Operate additional heavy equipment as needed (backhoe, excavator, skid steer, roller).
• Follow grade stakes and supervisor instructions; coordinate with crews.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and project requirements.
• Perform general labor duties when equipment operation isn’t required.
