Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Loader Operator to operate heavy equipment onsite in Sauget, IL, following safety policies to produce a superior product.

The Loader Operator will read specifications, set length guides, observe equipment for malfunctions, perform routine maintenance, and document daily reports while maintaining clean, safe work areas. Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work independently is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years related experience or equivalent
• Must pass internal certification program
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Capable of applying common sense to carry out written/oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale or templates
• Observe equipment operation to detect malfunctions
• Perform routine maintenance (lubricating, fueling, cleaning)
• Inspect and complete equipment reports daily
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned area
• Operate levers, gears, pedals and steering as required
• Other duties as needed
