Job summary

The Loader Operator at Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. will safely operate a front-end loader/dozer to move aggregates and load customer trucks. You’ll perform pre-shift inspections, assist with maintenance, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced site environment.

Expect 12-hour shifts, possible weekend work, and strict adherence to MSHA/OSHA safety rules. This role supports production and requires strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 1 year of heavy equipment experience preferred; loader experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment; ability to read manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and daily reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently per training and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections on vehicle systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment.
• Ensure cargo is loaded according to safety requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and assist with maintenance.
• Adhere to safety rules, policies and procedures.
