Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Sales/Yard Loader to safely operate a front-end loader in an aggregate yard or plant environment. You will load finished products into customer trucks or railcars while maintaining the integrity of product stockpiles.

You will manage traffic flow, supervise visiting drivers, and perform essential preventative maintenance to keep equipment and yard operations running smoothly. This role requires adherence to MSHA regulations and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience acceptable.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred in front-end loader operation.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work outdoors in all weather.
• Familiarity with MSHA compliance and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate front-end loaders to move raw materials from stockpiles to customer vehicles.
• Regulate flow of materials to conveyors, surge piles, chutes and bins to maximize plant production.
• Maintain stockpile quality and prevent contamination; ensure environmental compliance.
• Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with drivers and plant operators via CB radio or signals.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
