Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Haul Truck Driver to support plant operations by operating a 100-ton off-road haul truck, transporting crushed stone from pits to crushers and moving materials between stockpiles. You will participate in safety programs, assist with other plant tasks, and contribute to production efficiency in a team environment.

The role requires adherence to safety procedures, ability to perform pre-shift inspections, and flexibility to work 12-hour shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of related experience; haul truck driver experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently as trained.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections on vehicle systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mobile equipment.
• Report needed repairs to supervision and ensure proper loading per safety requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and work areas.
• Assist in plant maintenance and operations as needed.
• Follow MSHA safety rules and plant procedures.
• Communicate movement of vehicles and equipment via CB or hand signals.
